  Here is a photo of the young lad graduating from Kindergarten. They were very cute. The main note here is that this was on the day after the heat wave. The previous four days had been considerably hotter and school had been closed early. I made bad jokes, with other parents (mainly Dads), about how wimpy kids were and the way they were pampered it todays culture. The fact is though that sitting in that Gymnasium was intolerably hot and distracting. They were right to let the kids go, the heat and enviroment within the building were not productive.

Have I posted this before? It is worth reading again or to be reminded of it again. I watched a History Channel documentary titled "Hippies" it was about the development of the counter culture in America. Lot of well known material in the documentary, like the Merry Pranksters or whom Stewart Brand was one. They pretty much said that the Manson Killings actually happened the same week as Woodstock. I never knew that. Tate Murders August 6, 1969 ; Woodstock Friday August 15th, 1969. Back to Brandt, I mean heck if half the stuff he predicts come true or one of them, I mean he does have a good track record. The use of genetic modification to create more productive crops with higher resistance to pestilence would cut down on a lot of fertilizer that is poisoning the planet as much as the pesticides do.

I remember the first images of the dragging wheel. It is sad that a plan to get to Mars was developed by a group of engineers for 50 Billion over a 10 year period. Double it, because that is what happens, 10 million a year for 10 years. The problem is that one Hedge Fund manager made close to 4 Billion in one year. Our Government delivers nothing, we can barely keep the highways in good shape.
